Thanks, it doesn't seem to over-react like the 2nd dimension sometimes does.

Nothing like getting something that works as advertised. Good bowling!

Shadowed bowled first game working on different release trying to get a bit more finger in the ball.

2nd game 200 on the button opened 5th and 6th both make able.
3rd game 188 split the eighth frame and pulled first ball in 10th went Brooklyn and left a mess.

The release felt pretty good though little more practice and I think I will try it in league play.

Well thank you sk8.

I just wasn't comfortable. I think it was because we had two subs my dad and my one ex-teammate. I wanted to impress them subconsciously or something. I know my game is improving, and I love the way my Hy-Road feels. Whatever it was, my body was not working in unison for the first 5 frames. I mean I left two 1-2-4-10s and on top of that, its a makeable spare for me, and I lined up in the wrong spot to pick it up...Twice! Either way I got it together and finished that game strong and continued through the rest of the night.

The thing that really bothered me is that my pop kept telling everyone I was a slow starter when actually, my past stats will show that my second game is usually my roughest because of the transition. And he knows this and has often points this out. Sometimes I just wish he'd make up his mind. Either way, it was a good night, I threw my ball pretty good for the most part and I'm simply playing better. Plus my average jumped 3 pins despite that sub-par first game. Honestly, I really think I can average 190-195 come summer.

Today was bittersweet for me. 146-199-163. Broke 500 for the first time this season after a rough first few weeks, but just barely missed out on my first 200 game this season. Needed just 7 pins on the fill ball to get 200-even, but missed the headpin and got 6.

Highlight of the day: messing around after league and converting the 6-8 split.

Did some practicing over the weekend and then bowled League Sunday night. The practice went 201-236-247. League the next day wasn't as hot 165-211-195.

Well sunday morning there was a Doubles King of the Hill Tourney up in Hagerstown, MD. Now I just get asked this past wednesday if I wanted to bowl it, I was sure. Saturday night I find out that it's a PBA Pattern shot. Which really was no big deal as I actually looked forward to it more then. Get there sunday morning to find out it's the Viper (older one at 38 feet) though if you ask Joe, it really wasn't much of a Viper shot. Well I went there with 3 goals. 1. Shoot 1 200 game. 2. Not come in dead last. 3. Beat Joe and his teammate. I went 213-200-197-185-155-183. Average 188 for the tourney. My doubles partner struggled a bit. Came in 18th out of like 32 teams and got 2 200 games. This was my first experince on the Viper, so not bad, in my opinion. Between me and my partner and Joe and his partner, I was the high of the 4. Joe and his came in like 13th, 21 pins from the cash line.

Vampyre, see that is why I can't have you as a doubles partner. You are more obsessed with beating me than winning the tournament. I look at it this way. Everybody that did not cash got the same thing...air bubbles.

It was an interesting tournament. This was only my second time at that house. The first time, I shot 792 and won the singles scratch division of the Central MD USBC. Ahem, what did you shoot that day, Vampyre? grin

Anyway, the shot played like a dried out Viper pattern with no out of bounds. By the second game, I was throwing urethane up 7 with a little swing, but not carrying, and frankly not executing well.

This was the first time bowling in long pants since the summer. I know it's a stupid thing, but I much prefer bowling in shorts, but it was like 40 degrees outside.

I was happy to walk away with $20 in bracket winnings, enough for 4 trips to Taco Bell.

It only became an "obession" once I realized Chris and I wouldn't cash. Besides once I feel like I can out bowl you on a consistant basis, I'll know I have made some of the improvements to make me as good of a bowler as you.
