The saga of a great game
Have the first six and start to notice its getting alittle warm in this place so decide to get a beer. 8th frame beer gone and now sweating bullets. I don't think its the game but the temperature in the house. Scorching! 9th frame buried pocket and had the messenger take out the ten pin Sweet! Now comes the 10th.
OH to go back in time.
All game, I had no one come up next to me or anywhere around. I was just able to walk up get my ball and get on the lanes.
Everything was fine, walk up grab my ball get on the lane. All of a sudden out the corner of my eye I see this dumbass just get up on the lane. More than likely that wouldn't of bothered me but he was a lefty so he was closer. I didn't get off the lane. WHICH LOOKING BACK I SHOULD HAVE.
Anyway, I didn't get the ball as far out as I wanted- 1 board and came up slightly high leaving the 4/9 which the 4 fell and bounced towards the 9 and tapped it but didn't fall. ARRRRRGH!!!.
Finished with a buried strike for the 279.
Started off the second game with the first 3 and went downhill from there.

Update on the guy that shot 2 300's two weeks in a row.
Well back to the rest of us with a stellar 468 series.
hahaha.
Great bowler just an aweful night. Struggled with the dryness of the house last night.

300s? I vaguely remember when I was good enough to get them.

Since I posted my highest Summer average (224) I've done nothing but throw complete garbage. Usually I throw one horrible games and 2 decent games for low 600s. I only have one good series so far between two leagues (688). Tonight was a joke, in practice I carried the world. In league I left ten pins, 7 pins, two 7-10s, 4-9, 8-10 and a few others I care not to remember. I split in the 10th of every game to the tune of 183-169-199=551. The upside is thats only my 3rd series under 600. The average is at 204 on Weds and falling. I'm full on in a slump and can not work out of it. I cant wait to catch fire with that weak average, I'll make up for what Im costing my team at the moment. We lost 5 out of 7 points but should be tied for first next week. I guess that would be the big picture of what to be thankful for right now.

My Week 6 bowling, frame-by-frame (BowlSK)

Admittedly, I may have been bowling a bit distracted tonight, thinking too much about my 25th high school reunion coming up this weekend, but most of my problems actually had to do with not getting lane 36 figured out and missing the spares I left on that lane. I did make the right adjustment in the middle of game two, however, and put together my best game of the young season, a clean 237, to finish things off and save average. The 237 should give me something new to talk about at the reunion, so I was happy for that.

My team could've used me fully on my game tonight, as every game was just about close. A miss of a 10 pin in the 10th frame of game 2 blew the opportunity to take the point for that game, and, as we only lost total by 10 pins, the pins in fill I might've had would've been important. I won't blame Patrick for only taking 1 point tonight, as he showed up in the first 2 games with a 181 and a 179. Patrick might be in line for a USBC series award based on that.

My night was much like Mikes night. In practice everything fell, once the lights went on I was stuck with 4-7-10s, 6-7-10s, 8-10s and of course a few missed 10 pins sprinkled in. I had a 169, 172, and a 193 for a stellar 534. Luckily for us my team carried me and we won all points. I have got to learn to be less stubborn and change balls, or move when I need to. You would think I would learn by now ,...but Naah..I just keep chucking it over and over again with minor moves that just don't work. When I finally changed to a pearl particle things got better,..but to little to late. At least we won, and thats great..but it was'nt much fun for me.

Well it was a surprisingly good night. I get to the house and find out we are bowling on Lanes 35-36. My opinion, the worst pair. The last 4 outings on that pair incluse 3 sub 600 sets, including one night where I had splits in the 6,7,8, and 9 frames and 12 splits in total from just my team. What do I do? Shoot 300-257-225 for a 782 set. We took 5 out of 7 points. It was a good night. Plus I move up to 10th in average for the league at 227.

Nice bowling Vampyre! Congrats...

I ended up subbing last night although the team I subbed with decided to wait until practice was over to ask if I would like to join them for the night. So without getting warmed up and without checking the reaction on the lane I go washout, washout, change balls and finished out with a 187-224-234 for a 645. Not a bad set considering the open open start. The 187 was my first game (that I recall) this league season in any league that I have been below 200 on. I am still happy with the set even with the bad start.
