Very nice job, you reached your goal. Now its about repeating that success as often as possible!

thanks sk8. im still new in terms of adjusting and such. i am slowly learning things you guys know a lot about.

i need to figure out how to stop my drifting but at the same time it hasn't impacted me when it matters (approach and release) its the after release where i slide left.

i mean im the type of person who sees where the ball went, but didn't really see it (paying attention).

WooHoo, I would suggest that when you go practice, take a scrap piece of paper and on every frame right down what board you were standing on and what board you hit at the arrows. This will not only help you pay attention to what the ball is doing and where its going, but it will also help you learn how to adjust and what the adjustments are doing to the ball reaction. Paying attention to what is going on with the lanes as they transition is just as important (if not more so) as your physical game. You can have all the talent in the world but if you cannot adjust on the lanes then the talent just sends the ball in the same spot every time which is going to be more and more on the headpin every single shot.

In the 9th frame, I thought should I to try to shoot a Dutch 200 or strike? I figured we might need the pins, so the Dutch 200 will have to wait till another day. My teammates bowled great, and we won 7 out of 7 points. I found out this morning, so did the two teams ahead of us. Oh well, at least we didn't lose any ground.

We intend on keeping you in the rear view mirror too grin

It's ok Recobbs. Everyone has off nights. Either way it's still great bowling.

I wish I could have my first 700. I was a spare away from my first one...692 crying I'll get it some day.

There is a first for everything, just got mine two weeks ago. Keep charging man. It took me a huge ball change and to change my speed and approach to finally get it. But hey, whatever it takes. I pretty much had to relearn how to bowl again...I am glad I made the switch! I remember when a 600 was good for me. Now I want nothing less than a 650...

it may sound stupid to you folks, but a 200 game to me right now sounds so much better than a 300. as a 150 avg bowler if i got to that point i think id be happier knowing i hit 200+ than a 300.

It doesn't sound stupid. It's a personal goal. I have those. I actually have several. 2 of them are to shoot a 300 and 800 at least once each year. If I don't get it, so be it, will it be a disappointing season if I don't, nope, as long as i can say I tried my best. So far my best is 279 (3 times) and 781 set. Another goal is for me to have all 4 of my leagues with an ending avg of 220+ and trying to keep my monday at 230+. I know my wife has goals when she is able to bowl again. right now she wants to shoot 500+ sets every night and she wants a 600 set.

Went to the local center last night to practice and figured I would put myself up for auction (subbing). I had one team offer for me to bowl and as I walked to get my stuff the guy's teammates complained that my average was too high and they didn't want me. They didn't believe I would be able to shoot my established average in that league after one week (249). So none the less I did not get to bowl because the teammates voted against me, so I went and practiced for a little bit. I put tape at 42 or so feet on the 5th and 10th boards and practiced breakpoints. After two games of breakpoint management, I decided to turn the scorer on. I told the guy that wanted me on his team that I was going to shoot my average every single game I practiced and I was right. 279 (9 pin) - 289 (2 pin first frame, ringing 10 fill) - 279 (4 pin). Not a bad set and I did hit my average, to bad for them smile .
