It would be nice if it were ever to come within half a country of the north east. I know how you feel. Though we did drive to Corpus Christi, which wasn't too bad. I just don't understand the airlines sometimes. I live in MD, when I flew to Baton Rouge, me and my partner flew from Baltimore to Laguarda to Baton Rouge.

Got one better than that, Vampyre. The airfare from Chicago Midway to Las Vegas NS was $320, I believe. But, since I am closer to Milwaukee, I found a flight there with 1 stop for $230. And, the 1 stop was at Midway, yeah the original flight I looked at.
Airline pricing is confusing.

So buy the trip with a stop, miss the first flight, and catch the second

I wouldn't mind Nationals being someplace in the Midwest. When it was in Knoxville in 2003, we drove. We had 6 teams that year cause it was close and people who never go went. The only way it will be back in the Midwest is for a city to go through the bid process. They need to have a large convention center from basically Jan 1 through Aug 1. Plus, there needs to be alleys around to run all of the side tourneys. There is a certain number of hotel rooms that need to be available. And, the #1 thing is $$$. I have thought about looking at the requirements and seeing if the convention center that is 5 minutes from my house is big enough. There are enough alleys around me and hotels. The very first tourney was held in Chicago. Be cool to have one in the Chicago burbs.

So buy the trip with a stop, miss the first flight, and catch the second As I said, I am actually closer to Milwaukee than Midway Airport in Chicago.

I'd love to see it come to B-more or DC

I'd love to see it come to B-more or DC Me too, but I think there is a better chance of the Orioles or Nationals winning the World Series than either city even thinking about making a bid.

If so it was well before my bowling career and possibly before I was born. I just don't see them trying now though.

When shopping for anything on Amazon.com or eBay please use these links to go to the web sites.
This won't cost you a cent!
You'll still get the exact same low prices, deals and free or low cost shipping; it doesn't change anything for you at all! The items do not have to be bowling related; all purchases made through these links help us! Amazon.com and eBay will pay us a small commission for every sale and it's helping us cover the expenses.
