My Week 3 bowling, frame-by-frame(BowlSK)

Four splits during the night really hurt, but it was a decent night otherwise. Following a suggestion given to me by CoachJim, I had John watch my break point (the board at which the ball starts its turn toward the pocket), and, determining that it was on the 7 board, that helped me get lined up, avoiding the problem I had in the second game last week with losing the break point. Another bright point of the night was that I made all of my single pins, which is always what I hope for if I leave them. I will be going into the start of using real averages a pin ahead of last year's book average, so I think I'm off to a good start.

Team had another strong 3 of 4 night, this time against "The Mustangs," usually one of the better teams in the league. Eileen had a strong night, breaking 100 in all three games (carrying an 84 average), and John chipped in a 176 second game to help the team win that game by 120+ pins.

another night of struggles 191(left alot of single pins and had 2 opens)175,224 with opens in 3&4.for a 590.so the avg. drops another pin.
but the good thing is that even tough i am struggling i am able to keep it close to 600.

Good bowling everyone.

As for me,...I am thoroughly disgusted with myself. I absolutely stunk it up last night. I was light,..I was heavy,..I was straight through the nose..and I missed some easy spares, as well as splits that came in the 9th and 10 frames. Extremely disappointing. You would think that after bowling as long as I have, I would be able to adjust,..but no, not me. I did'nt even break 500 last night(497). I blame myself for us losing our first two games of the year,..(we did take game 1) I failed to bowl even close to average. But next week is a new week and a chance to redeem myself.

Sorry for the rant.

Nice little 656. When the lanes started to really transition in the beginning of game 2 and I saw people starting to leave 10 pins from balls burning up a bit too much, I suggested to my captain that his Radical Inferno might store a bit more energy. 5 frames later, he changed back to his original ball and started striking again, but not before losing some pins that he probably wouldn't have. That was the only game we lost. Oh well.

Are you suggesting that you ball change recommendation didn't work?

Anyhow, it's nice to start out with a 6-bagger, isn't it? Nice.

Nice bowling cgeorg...

Way to finish Reconbbs smile

And last but not least, Scott. Don't worry about it, just come in next time and light it up, shoot like 750 and you will be right back on average again haha.

Yeah, I felt pretty bad about that one. He bought me Guinness all night too. He wasn't mad though, and we both know more about what he should do next time I feel like opening my mouth (ignore me).

It is. One of our opponents has a most hated list he updates weekly. I was #11 at the beginning of the night. A 300 could have moved me up the list a good bit. We still managed to beat them by 100+ in game 1, and 150+ in game 3, for 3 extra points. Our team will be high on the list next week.

After my last 2 outings, I just wanted to make some good shots. And, I did. In fact, I made some great shots. There is one I commented on in game 3, and the last ball I threw was every bit as good. A co-worker who snowboards sent me a video this morning of a guy snowboarding on a crazy mountain with huge drops. I said I'd die if I tried that - he said he probably would too, but he'd die happy. Those great shots last night felt that good - if throwing them had killed me, it would have been a decent way to go.
