well, i redeemed myself a bit, last monday was brutal, but last night was pretty good for me. shot a 177, 189 and a 199. two opens in each game[ still, ugh], but it seems to be getting there for me. i was very relaxed, and just kept rolling the ball. also, never looked at the score untill 10th frame was done, just a frame at a time. teamwise we got clobbered, but atleast i helped keep us in the 'fight' this week.

hope it carries over into thursday night......

Well, finally the time has come to post. My first (and my dad's) first PBAx league finally started last night. It was fun, but the lack of people might end it's soon lived run. Of the 18 person cap, 10 were suppose to show up, and only 6 did (including us 2). They ran it during the summer and had no problem. I'm assumin due to the amount of normal scratch leagues, leaves us with little people that want to join a PBAx.

Although it was our first time, we took 1&2 spot for top average for the night.

Cheetah pattern
Dad shot: 159 - 181 - 211
Me: 149 - 224 - 117

Ya, the last game I was beyond tired. Didn't pick spares, my whole arm was dead, lol. But was fun never the less. Only 10pins under my normal house avg, same with my dad.

But, was fun. Hopefully more people will show up in the next weeks to give me som incentive of staying.

For the first time, I needed a double in the tenth to win, and failed. I did get it the first 3 times so far this year, even picked up a 4-9 to win a game. But, I just couldn't do it last night. We lost all 3 games, by 5, 10 and 13 pins.

Our 4 male bowlers shot 580, 550, 550 (me) and 540. Our 1 female bowler shot 662. At least someone came to bowl.

Our opponents shot 600, 610, 640, 640, and 700. They had 2 scratch bowlers and our handicap advantage made up the difference.

I feel like the baseball relief pitcher who blew the save.

After starting the season 2-19 we turned it around last night and took all 7pts. I shot 211,177,213. We only had 2 people show up due to illness. After opening every tenth frame the week before I redeemed myself this week by striking out in all 3 games with the last game needing it to win by 2.
Overall a great night and I was home way early

Dennis, I had a similar less-than-par, needed-to-strike-and-didn't-get-it night on Saturday. Thankfully, it is the beginning of the season, and there are several weeks to make up for it.

Nice bowling tbill, struggler, Reconbbs, and Russ.

Dennis, I would take 3 for 4 game winning 10th frames any time as an anchor myself. You can't win them all, who knows maybe you will rattle off the next 5-6 without missing an opportunity to win!

Last night I got called into sub for the Tuesday Mixed Foursomes, got there just before practice started and got out the Cell Pearl and Virtual Gravity. Threw the Virtual first shot of practice and it labored down lane and I just knew it wouldn't work so I switched to the Cell Pearl.

233 (open on a 1-8, terrible first shot)
256
259
for a 748. I was establishing last night so that is an average now of 249. That was back to back 700's for me and now I have two leagues in which I am averaging 240 or better (haha).

I hope you are not talking about my open frame on that 1-8 leave haha. It was pretty bad to leave it in the first place, then I picked the 1 off the 8.

Very NIICE!! sk8,
Dennis,
So you missed one, you still have a pretty dang good success rate. Using your example, Even Mariano Rivera has a bad outing on occasion.
