The fact that Pete can't beat Walter on TV doesn't hurt either. Problem is, they don't meet on TV enough to make it really exciting.

I agree, what is it 5 times over the course of their careers? Not to great of odds of seeing them on TV.

On a side note, I have heard from quite a few PBA members that I have met that WRW has a really dry and boring personality, so it kind of makes sense that you have the "loud mouth" vs. the "boring" guy rivalry haha...

The only rivalry that was fairly obvious in terms of dislike for eachother was Ryan Shafer and Norm Duke. Shafer was not quiet about wanting to pound duke into the ground although Duke has pretty much always mopped the floor with him. Anyone remember when Shafer shot a televised 300 in the semifinal match only to lose to Duke for the title?

Personally, I am hoping to see more of Parker Bohn on TV. He is a great bowler with a great attitude. In my opinion, he has the best form of all the professional bowlers.

I love watching Parker Bohn on TV. I wouldn't say he has the best form, but it's definitely the most textbook-style. Ryan Shafer is great too, but he still struggles on TV somewhat, whereas Duke has a very good TV record.

Ryan Shafer is probably my least favorite bowler to watch. He always seems to have a grouchy attitude, and he just muscles the [censored] out of the ball. He has no fluidity to his game. Also when I see Walter Ray on ESPN Classic I just fast forward to the next match. Great bowler but boring to watch.

I think one of the best games out there is Mike Machuga, he has perfect balance, free armswing and great timing. I hope he gets on a few shows this year.

Also love watching Belmo and Fagan just for the power factor. Would love to see Cassidy Schaub/Osku/Belmo on the same show, imagine the lane breakdown if that happened.

Of course Ryan Shafer has no fluidity, that's how he became so successful. If he tried to force himself to learn a muscle-free release he probably won't have 4 national titles and over $1.3 million in earnings. And if he was grouchy he wouldn't have won the Nagy last season. His style may be unusual, but it works very well for him and it only seems worse to watch because of the standards we've defined.

When I read this, it seemed perfectly clear. Maybe I was drinking? Just defending Richie's use of the article "an", before the word "historic".
