Thanks Joe. As you may recall, I bowled the entire Summer last year, and most of the season with only 1-step. I lengthened the approach in about March, and tore the knee up again in April. Had to wait til the Heart Dr released me for surgery and that was 7/11. Maybe the date was a good omen.
there happen to be 5 bowlers who routinely meet at the lanes, and we all take 1-step for various injury related reasons. Everything from a 350# fellow who is having trouble after knee replacement surgery, to me, to a bowler who had his heel removed and rebuilt with titanium due to a work injury. We have talked about a 1-step tourney. Bet we could find others to join.
We commisurate together and helped each other. We all averaged between 185 and 195 for the season last year, and all are itching to get back to normal. We all met through the physical therapist who has been really helpful.
This Tues, when I instruct High Schoolers in the HS PBA league, I plan to pace with them. I think a visual of ball control and taming the Chameleon will help them.
