Cool. Honestly, it's never too late to start. People comment me on my smooth form and release all the time, but yet I still have room to improve. I am averaging about 170 in both high school and league, and this is my first year starting. I have come

Very nice shooting Vince. If not for a little match up problem you probably would have had quite a series. Not that you didn't already, but like you said 800 was a possibility. Hopefully we can all follow you with bowling like that.

How can you not throw a candlepin ball hard. My guess is being sick kept him from overthrowing the ball. Obviously he still threw it hard but it kept him from muscling it too much.

Sort of on the topic, but you sometimes hear of people having problems with balls of certain core sizes and shapes. What I mean is, they tell of certain balls in their arsenal that just don't "feel right," as compaired to others they have o

Just recently I've found I've been trying to put too many revs for my speed. That has caused me to move way right and throw way left. Though my speed has climbed to maybe 12 at the pins, it's still not enough to try to rev the ball...not at my size a

Vince, Bowling. Nice to have a team buddy that can help read your ball reaction. You are proof that a lot of revs. are not necessary with a down and in game and you match up well with speed and ball choice. Oh heck,I guess some talent thrown

During a video lesson at the 2009 USBC Nationals, Mike Jasnau calculated my rev at around 230. For my rev rate, I get the best overall reaction when my speed is at 15mph (at the pins). When my speed drops below, I start leaving week corner pins. When

It's slightly over 13 mph, but not quite 14. When I stand outside of 10 and throw straight up the boards the ball still won't hook back. My ball track is a fairly standard semiroller, maybe a tad lower. Not sure about the axis rotation but it probabl

I have been struggling of late and started in the same manner. 9- X / 80. I was really down in the dumps. Then I changed balls. My teammate, a Silver Coach, yelled at me to move instead. I told him, I started at 18 and The last ball, I stood at

When developing a new core shape, they also have to take into account the various different drilling patterns, in order to minimize the amount of core that might be vacated by the drilling.

with a 250 rev rate, you should be starting out fairly straight. Your ball should already be on the outside from the beginning. If your ball speed is 13 mph and your ball doesn't hook, then your release must be really weak, or your ball speed is real

I know someone will give you a more technical explanation, but a ball with an RG in the 2.40 range will rev up very early. A lot of spin. The core is center heavy. A ball with an RG at 2.60 or higher has a high RG. The core puts more weight toward th
